11/07/2023: Frau Mayr passes away at 97
The progress of science requires not only scientists but also people who support them, for example administrative staff and people taking care of the technical infrastructure. Frau Mayr was one of these people in the background who strongly supported the development of RISC in its first two decades or so. At a time when the housing situation in Hagenberg was tense, she generously offered numerous Ph.D. students to live in her house. We are saddened to hear that Frau Mayr has passed away this week at the age of 97.
